Inuit youth enrol in climate change project

The Our People, Our Climate project has accepted eight student for its pilot online course about climate change in Nunavut. One of the goals of the course is to introduce Inuit youth, 15 to 30 years of age, to the impact of global warming on Inuit Nunangat.

The youth will be learning about how Inuit are experiencing environmental changes within their communities.

The participants are from Cambridge Bay, Rankin, Iqaluit, Sanikiluaq and Grise Fiord.
The course is free and takes place March 16 to 27, online only. After the completion of the course, the students will receive a training honorarium.

The online course will be available publicly after the pilot has been accredited. It will be available at www.ilinniapaa-training.ca.
