An Iglulik woman has been charged with second-degree murder after an investigation by police in the community.
Jacintha Tulugajuk has been accused of killing Leo Tulugajuk following a joint investigation involving the Nunavut RCMP Major Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services and members of Iglulik RCMP. The announcement of the charge was made by Nunavut RCMP on Monday morning.
Jacintha Tulugajuk is due to appear in court next on June 24 and police are thanking residents of the hamlet for their assistance throughout the investigation.
