Police investigating Baker Lake garage fire

Baker Lake RCMP and the Nunavut Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of an early morning garage fire in the hamlet on Sunday.

Officers in the community told the Baker Lake Volunteer Fire Department about the blaze at around 5:25 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they began trying to put the fire out, but it ended up being completely destroyed later that morning. There were no reports of any injuries or missing people as a result.

The cause of the fire was still unknown as of Monday morning.
