Nunavut Parks has been hosting a series of “learn to” events geared towards teaching participants about traditional activities this summer.
So far some of the workshops provided have included how to make pipsi, how to make dry meat and a qulliq making event.
All of the “learn to” events have been hosted at the Elder’s Cabin just outside of Rankin Inlet. There’s still another session left on the schedule:
Aug. 25 and Aug. 27 – traditional plant walk
This session will teach participants about traditional uses of Arctic plants.

I always think that learning the old ways are good no matter what culture. Keep up the good work.
