Environment Canada is warning of a developing blizzard in the Kivalliq region.

“Strong northerly winds are bringing blizzard conditions to parts of Kivalliq over the next couple of days,” wrote Environment Canada on Monday.

The conditions may be intermittent, as a series of weather disturbances pass over the region.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to the reduced visibility.

“If you do travel and become lost, remain where you are until the blizzard has passed,” writes Environment Canada.
