Residents of Resolute Bay are being advised to boil water used for consumption for at least one minute due to scheduled maintenance at the community’s water treatment plant.
The Department of Health stated that water should be boiled for the following purposes:
• drinking
• preparing infant formulas
• preparing juices and ice cubes
• washing fruits and vegetables
• cooking
• brushing teeth
Water can be boiled either in a pot or kettle on a stove or an electric kettle without an automatic shut off.
The territorial government indicated that it will provide updates as circumstances change.
