A child is deceased and another sustained injuries in an ATV accident late Wednesday, Aug. 3.
At 11 p.m., the Arviat RCMP were dispatched to a report of the accident on 7th Avenue.
Four people were on the ATV at the time of the accident. Two adult passengers were injured, one child sustained several injuries and the second child was pronounced deceased at the health centre.
The matter remains under investigation.
“Our thoughts are with the family and the community during this very difficult time,” stated the RCMP in a news release.
