There were 11 recoveries and no new cases of COVID-19 announced on Sunday, dropping the number of active infections down to just 28 territory-wide. One case is in Kinngait and the rest in Iqaluit.

There have been 215 recoveries since this outbreak started in April.

Vaccination numbers will be updated on Tuesday, following the long weekend, according to the Government of Nunavut.

As of May 21, 16,918 Nunavummiut had received their first dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and 13,906 had gotten both doses.

“Let’s keep it up, Iqaluit! Stay safe and committed this long weekend,” Premier Joe Savikataaq wrote on social media Sunday.
