Iqaluit man charged after RCMP seize cocaine, crack and cash

A 53-year-old Iqaluit resident has been charged after police used a search warrant to enter a Tundra Ridge home and confiscated cocaine, crack cocaine and cash on June 28.

The amount of drugs seized was not specified in an RCMP news release issued on June 30, nor was the value of cash.

Murray McLaughlin is facing two counts of possessing a substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.

McLaughlin has been released from custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 11 in Iqaluit.
