The Government of Nunavut is reporting seven recoveries from COVID-19 today and no new cases, bringing the number of active cases in Iqaluit down to just three.

There have been 251 recoveries since this outbreak began in mid-April.

As of Friday, there were 15,268 people over the age of 18 who are fully vaccinated in Nunavut with an additional 2,139 having received their first dose. Vaccine numbers will be updated on Monday.

Yesterday, Nunavut’s chief public health officer Dr. Michael Patterson said public health measures in Kinngait could be eased as early as next week, depending on how things unfold, along with other possible future changes coming to the southern isolation hubs.
