Interruptions in land-line phone service in communities outside of Iqaluit on Monday night should no longer be an issue today, according to NorthwesTel.

The issues were due to the phone network experiencing “congestion (Monday) night due to much higher than average use. The network was operational but some calls would not have been able to get through,” a NorthwesTel spokesperson stated.
