Welcome to Cambridge Bay where, while we still have ice and snow, it is melting quickly now. It has been raining that makes the snow and ice go away quicker.

Residents continue to go ice fishing up at Grenier Lake and behind Mount Pelly. Lots of lake trout and some fishers are getting Arctic char also.

The community of Cambridge Bay is looking a lot better with lots of garbage and big items being picked up by a crew of summer youth workers. Our community looks a lot better. Quana to all our youth and hamlet workers busy cleaning up the community.

Not many people travelling, if they are it's mostly patients going for medical appointments. The dental team is here also.

The Elders are busy enjoying camping and doing activities up at Anaanatiaq's Camp with youth involved. The tent frames are set up so good with cooking and sewing equipment available for teaching the youth. It is very important today to have our Elders interact with youth to keep our traditions and culture alive and strong. It is also important to keep in touch with Elders as part of healing.

To go have a cup of tea and bannock will do us all good. Enjoy your beautiful summer.

Be safe and stay off the ocean while the ice is melting quickly. Soon those darn mosquitos will be back. Enjoy the land and respect each other's personal property.

God Be With You Son.
