Fashion Feature: 'For Us By Us'

The Nunavut Black History Society concluded 2021’s Black History Month with a bang as various Northern and southern fashions were showcased during a black tie gala event at the Aqsarniit Hotel in Iqaluit on March 14.

Opening ceremonies for Black History Month started on Feb. 7 with the Sankofa Awards being given out to notable community members.

Other activities such as the Black History Month Film Festival at the Astro Theatre, the Jerusalema dance challenge and others took place throughout February and March.
