Gjoa Haven RCMP on the lookout for man accused of grabbing woman who was walking alone

RCMP in Gjoa Haven are asking members of the public for information about an alleged assault that occurred on Sept. 13.

On that night, around 11:30 p.m., an unknown male approached an adult female who was walking alone in an open area of the community. The suspect allegedly sexually assaulted the women by grabbing her. He then fled. The woman was not physically harmed in the incident, according to the police.

The suspect is approximately 5’8”-5’9” in height. He was last seen wearing a blue hood over his head a black jacket with a white or reflective stripe on the side.
