The public health emergency declared in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic has been extended yet again, this time until at least Oct. 1, Health Minister George Hickes announced Thursday.
All existing measures under the public health emergency order remain in effect.
Symptoms of Covid-19 include a fever, cough or difficulty breathing.
Nunavummiut are reminded to practice physical distancing, frequent handwashing, and to stay home if they feel unwell, the Department of Health advises.
Anyone who believes they have been exposed to the virus should call the Covid hotline at 1-888-975-8601 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. EDT, or notify their community health centre right away, and immediately isolate at home for 14 days.
