Twelve more Iqaluit residents have tested positive for Covid-19, the Government of Nunavut announced on Friday morning.

That brings the total number of active cases of the virus in the city to 13. Iqaluit remains in lockdown, as ordered by the chief public health officer.

So far, 14,035 Nunavummiut have received at least one dose of the Moderna vaccine and 10,434 have had both doses, according to the territorial government.

The Department of Health is urging residents to stick to their household bubbles, wear a mask when outside the home and maintain physical distancing.
