This is Jaden Sigurdson at Tuapaktuuq, near Rankin Inlet, on June 7, 2016. Jaden and his friends go camping here every spring to hunt geese and go egg picking. It was a beautiful day, he caught some geese with bands/rings. Jaden loves to catch geese that are banded because he likes finding out where the geese come from.

Here is a picture of my mother this fall out berry picking. She was out of town a few months, fishing with her sister, and making piffi. Coming home at the right time, and picking berries where she loves to stay and enjoy mother nature. Her sister came during the right time – plenty of berries! The ducks stopped by, too. This photo is one of my favourite ones... my mom picking black berries on a cool fall day, where she enjoys good tea and food as well. Koanakpiak, we all enjoyed berry picking season here in Kugluktuk.

This was in winter 2017. We were kinda bored when big storm hit us for few days. We didn't have much snow in fall and winter, then snow started coming in just like that. Days come along, radio was on most of the days, then sunshine comes along. Wow... we woke up to this much snow. But people of Arviat started helping out those who need to get out. Helping hands were all over. Best storm of the year. Winter is awesome sometimes.
