With the funds, Kushnir has already bought video games, board games, movies, a laptop and even a new television for the youth.

Kushnir is now hoping to hire two staff members in order to offer the drop-in program three times a week.

The goal is provide the service every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Presently, the drop-in is held once a week on Tuesdays between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“It’s such a great boost towards positive growth,” said Kushir, referring to the services provided for the youth.
