Man charged with attempted murder in Pangnirtung

A 22-year-old man is facing five Criminal Code charges, including attempted murder, following a firearms incident in Pangnirtung on Friday.

Several rounds were fired into an occupied home, according to Pangnirtung RCMP. Although property was damaged, nobody inside was injured.

A man, who police say had fled the scene, was subsequently arrested without incident.

Sheema Nowdlak has been charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a reckless manner. He is in jail and his next court appearance is scheduled for March 19 in Iqaluit.
