Eleven new positive COVID-19 tests in Iqaluit have raised the total number of active infections in Nunavut to 80 cases, the Government of Nunavut announced on Sunday.
Seventy-six of those active cases are in the capital city, two are in Kinngait and two are in Rankin Inlet.
Anyone who has reason to believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 is advised to call the COVID-hotline at 1-888-975-8601 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. EST, or notify
their community health centre right away, and immediately isolate at home for 14 days. Please do not go to the health centre in person.
The crow asks me the question, I understand it. The lone crow that hangs around waiting for my answer tilts its head one side to the other.
I get barked at. I say, ” you are my only friend during this pandemic, and my love thanks you for being there, my spirit is geared eternal, I feed you bread when I have it, I thank you, for the privilege, the forest is full but mans parks now are empty, man must wake up, the spirit in man is dead, thank you for being there for me, do not fear my desolate spirit, thank you for being there, you are standing in for the father just by existing, thank you , my friend, you are beautiful.” I always leave the crows to eat freely, and in peace, I hope I don’t offend them.
