Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Michael Patterson got vaccinated this weekend according to a social media post from Premier Joe Savikataaq.
As a frontline worker who spends his weekends in the emergency room, Dr. Patterson was eligible for the latest round of vaccines in Iqaluit.
“He made an appointment and got his shot as soon as he was able, as promised. Thanks for everything, Dr. Patterson!” wrote the Premier. “Looking forward to receiving mine as soon as I can. Count me in!”
On Jan. 21 the clinics for the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine in Iqaluit were expanded and the date was extended to Jan. 30.
