The seamstresses received Canada Council for the Arts funding as well as some GN Culture and Heritage. They bought the Ugjuk skins from Mary Kudlak in Ulukhaktok. Other seal skins and supply were bought by the sewers.  The mentors said that a number of them had acquired the skill and are ready to teach that skill in Cambridge Bay in the future.
