Power plant break-in cuts Kugluktuk electricity

Residents of Kuglukuk lost power on Aug. 13 following a break and enter into the community’s power plant, according to the RCMP.
The culprits got into the building through a window, the police stated. They then turned off all of the breakers, cutting power, which was later restored.

The police are seeking information from the public as they continue their investigation. Anyone with knowledge of the incident is asked contact the Kugluktuk RCMP at 867-982-0123 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
