RCMP seeks public's help in locating Sanikiluaq man facing multiple charges

RCMP officers in Sanikiluaq are turning to residents who might have information on the whereabouts of a 30-year-old man charged with six offences.

Tony Appaqaq faces charges of break and enter, assault causing bodily harm, theft under $5,000 and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.

The charges were laid following a Feb. 20 incident where a female resident in a local home was assaulted by a male at approximately 2 a.m. The assailant allegedly stole several items before fleeing, according to police.

Appaqaq is 5'7" and 150 lbs with short black hair and brown eyes. Members of the public are asked not to approach him if he is located, but to call police instead.
