Hamlet of Arviat announces state of emergency

At 8 a.m. the morning of Feb. 24 the Hamlet of Arviat announced a state of emergency to last until Mar. 2.
In a release by the Hamlet it states ‘due to the longevity of the Public Health Emergency in Arviat’ the Mayor and Council in an emergency meeting has declared a Local State of Emergency in the community.
